When we talk about SEO keywords?

This blog will help you definitely and answer all your doubts. So read it thoughtfully.
WHAT IS KEYWORDS
Keywords (sometimes referred to as “SEO keywords”) are any words or phrases that a user types into the search engine to find particular information on the internet.
As a website owner and content creator, you want the keywords on your page to be relevant to what people are searching for so they have a better chance of being found, indexed, and ranked among en-number of results.
WHAT IS KEYWORD RESEARCH
Keyword research is the process by which you research popular search terms, people type into search engines like Google and yahoo, and include them strategically in your content so that your content appears higher on a search engine results page (SERP).

EXAMPLE– A customer who wants to buy a SMARTWATCHES he/she enters in google search “SMARTWATCHES IN INDIA” this becomes the keyword for his search.
On the basis of searched keywords, Google will display the search results. Hence, it becomes very important to understand what are keywords in digital marketing and their importance in SEO.
The goal of businesses is to get discovered on the internet.
HOW TO SELECT KEYWORDS
Search Engine Traffic
By identifying and optimizing its web content for high volume keywords such as “inexpensive industrial widgets,” a firm can increase its volume of search engine traffic in a systematic way, and capitalize on the demand represented by those keywords.
Keyword research that is incomplete, flawed in its methodology, or not undertaken, will undercut search engine traffic volume.
Organic Search Visibility
When someone does a search on google, google displays results ranked in order of how relevant the web page is to the keywords used by the searcher. these are organic results.
The higher a page ranks, the more people click on it. So, if the widget-maker can get its web page that talks about “inexpensive industrial widgets” moved up from page 10 of the search engine results to page one for searches on that term – those 100 visits a month might increase to 1,000 or more.
The primary marketing discipline that focuses on improving organic search visibility is called search engine optimization, or SEO.
Paid Search Visibility
The search engine company also displays advertisements that relate to the search term being used, positioned above or alongside the organic results.
Pay-per-click advertising, or PPC, involves managing campaigns that serve up ads for keywords (anywhere from handfuls to millions) that relate to a firm’s products and services.
So, if the widget maker’s PPC campaign includes “inexpensive industrial widgets,” it increases the pool of potential clicks by as much as 10,000 a month.
If the campaign ignores this term – it reduces the click-through opportunity to zero.
HOW MANY KEYWORDS SHOULD YOU USE ON A PAGE
When talking about how many keywords to focus on in a page, the answer depends a lot on the keywords you are wanting to use, how related they are to one another, and if they help push the message of the content forward.
In most cases, it would be 3-8 total, based on the length of the content. This breaks down into 1 primary keyword, 1-3 secondary keywords and 1-4 additional keywords.
Using more than 8 or SEO keywords can come off as spammy.
ALERT: READ CAREFULLY
Let’s first discuss the rules of keyword hierarchy. There are 3 main types of keywords for SEO,
- Primary Keyword
- Secondary Keywords
- Additional Keywords
PRIMARY KEYWORDS
Your primary keyword should be the main focus of the entire article, so the title and content should reflect that.
You can’t really write a good piece of content about 2 separate topics, so only one primary keyword should be used to drive the content forward.
SECONDARY KEYWORDS
Secondary keywords are complementary keywords to the primary one, but just slight variations.
Usually, the main topic will include 3-5 main talking points so using a handful of those secondary keywords makes sense.
ADDITIONAL KEYWORDS
Additional keywords are just any other related keywords that are phrased or spelled differently than the first two but mean the same thing.
This is a catch-all net to get different variations of your main keywords in there to try and rank for one (or all) of them.
Typically, “long-tail” keywords would be included in this category.
WHERE TO USE KEYWORDS FOR SEO IN YOUR CONTENT WRITING
It’s easy to say “you need to add keywords for SEO”, but implementing it is a different matter entirely.
In fact, there are certain rules and best-practices for adding keywords to a website that can make your SEO efforts much more worthwhile.
